October 15, 2020 - German red wines have always been kind of orphans. Some very worthy ones exist but are not likely to be seen in the U.S. This PN does not modify this judgment. It's a rather bland, unexciting version of the grape with nothing particularly distinctive about it. It's no worse than hundreds of other PN's in the same price range, but no better either.

September 12, 2020 - Ugh, that's what I get for going to Total Wine. Aromas of tin can, canned beans, lacks acidity, flat, finish saves it a bit...because it means it's over.

May 2, 2020 - Bright and clear garnet ruby. Initially shy nose of black cherry and weak tea. Medium-light palate echoes the nose. Medium minus tannins. Medium plus acidity. Short finish. German reds are improving. The is shows much better than reds from just ten years back. Serve with pork, salmon, or light to medium vegetarian fare.
