  March 15, 2021 - Blackberries and earthiness on the nose. Very fruit forward in the mouth with loads of dark cherries and blackberries. Subtle acidity of fresh lemons. Moderate tannins are well integrated. Long! Ate with a charcuterie board. Paired especially well with n'duja and mascarpone spread over sliced baguette. I was very skeptical of this rare wine grape, but now I'm very pleased to have 5 more bottles. Buon appetito i salute!

  December 4, 2020 - Actually had the 2019 susumaniello. Not the first one either. This has some odd tartness rather than the over the top fruit forwardness of the other susumaniellos I have had. Drinkable and enjoyable, but lacks sophistication as all susumaniellos do but then also lacks the over the top fruit forwardness. Not impressed, but hey it was cheap.

  July 7, 2020 - Big, very big, packed with dark fruits, pepper, and blackstrap molasses notes. Noticeable alcohol, not particularly complex, but there is a whole lot of it.
