June 29, 2018 - Last opened a bottle of this six years ago, and my notes were amazingly close. Still performing very well, and beat out the 2009 Turley Hayne Vyd in a side by side tasting. Delicious.

August 1, 2015 - Kind of a wild cowboy to my palette. A tad too much on the hot side and gobs of jammyness. But if you're in to that kind of thing then maybe this is the wine for you. It still had it's merits which is why the somewhat decent score. Kinda spendy for what it was though.

May 30, 2014 - Seems almost identical to when I first opened a bottle 6 years ago - seems ageless

March 2, 2014 - Still drinking well. Surprisingly elegant and well balanced for such a big wine. Very dark brick in color and starting to show some tertiary characteristics with a hint of olive on the nose. Primarily bramble dark fruit-blackberry and dark cherry-, vanilla, earthy/woody notes, and spice-clove, ginger.

Doesn't share the spotlight well. Ok with food, but better on its own. May do well with something that's fatty like a steak.

June 15, 2012 - RICH FRUIT, IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR, BLACK CHERRIES, CURRANTS, CHOCOLATE, AND RASPBERRIES. NICE COMPLEXITY AND A LONG FINISH. GREAT FOOD WINE.

August 21, 2011 - we have been drinking V29 for a lond time and this explains why. huge nose of black/whateverberries and a palate to match. don't wait forever on V29 it's too damn expensive to guess wrong.
