  June 24, 2022 - Opened, poured and let sit about 1/2 hr. Then: Maybe some dark fruit on the nose. Taste is dark fruit and kind of murky; hard to pin this to a particular grape. By process of elimination, cabernet seems closest. Still, good balance and mouthfeel, tannin not an issue. This has changed a bit from the last bottle, but not in a bad way; just a bit different and still pleasant to drink. Happy to have a few more left.

  April 7, 2022 - Opened, poured and let sit about 1/2 hr. Maybe dark fruit on the nose. First sips maybe dark cherry fruit, almost soft mouthfeel; then a bit of grip on the finish. Balance not bad and the grip on the finish gives it some structure. By the end of the glass the "grip" was dominating the fruit. Not particularly harsh, but noticeable and to the detriment of the wine. No particular cabernet taste, but I don't think it could be mistaken for anything else. Still decent for what it is and the price, particularly with food.

  March 6, 2022 - I still like this wine, perfect for a steak, etc. A very good wine and a great value, like every Charles Smith wine I’ve had.
