October 23, 2023 - Tasted vis-a-vis the Clape, this did not stand a chance, really. It's nice, mature, smooth, local with olives galore, black berries, everything is here and well balanced, just lacks that extra bit of excitement, that I nomally find a Cornas-wine of this level. No blood on the tracks here ... allthought very nice, of course.

September 30, 2023 - I mean…I understand the ratings provided. While there were some interesting notes - quite liked the ripe purple plum - I found my bottle to be lacking acidity and length. Maybe too old and got flabby…like me.

September 9, 2023 - Decanted for two hours then brought to a tasting. Tannins have worn off and it has the beautiful fruit flavors of cherries, some spice and tobacco.

August 18, 2023 - Dark ruby. Smoky, blackberry fruit. Cured meats. Surprisingly grainy tannins, with air this rounds out. Plenty acidity. On the old-school side.

June 14, 2023 - Dark; smoky, briary fruit; forceful palate (still some tannin), with air this rounds out. Unapologetically old-school.

November 25, 2022 - Best bottle so far, but pretty rustic. While it's good, there isn't a whole lot of interest. Better Cornas to be had.

April 29, 2022 - Terrific. Color very youthfully purple but the flavors of this wine are very developed - in a good way, in a perfect spot for drinking now. Very meaty, mushroomy and sanguine. Dry plum and apricot. Still a bit grippy (again, a good thing) but with very crisp acids. Could certainly keep improving but if I had more I wouldn't be able to contain myself.

October 9, 2021 - Best of the last three bottles. Seems to finally be coming out of a funk (or just a one-off?). Some animal, dark fruit, but seems to be more lively rather than the somewhat dull plummy fruit it previously showed.

March 21, 2020 - Very dark color; looks like a five-year old wine. Initially shows some very off-putting fecal character, which at some point seems to fade away a bit, then some chocolate. The palate is fairly monolithic, with dull plummy fruit and not much else. Still has some tannins to shed. And where is the northern Rhône syrah character? Nothing about this wine tells me it will get any more interesting. Meh.
