June 14, 2021 - Very accessible SV option. Balanced young Cabernet. Not complex nor mature but enjoyable in its youth.

May 14, 2021 - A nice well balanced wine. Just starting to be ready. Could lay down and drink within the 5 year window. Cheers

February 13, 2021 - 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. The Lyndenhurst is a blend of roughly equal parts declassified Spottswoode barrels and purchased fruit.
The lengthy decant and air time given brings forth notes new leather, rubbed herbs, chocolate truffle and deep notes of dark cherry, cassis, plum and fig meld with hints of vanilla bean, tobacco, dried florals, earth and sugar cookie.
The palate shows density with firm suave tannins, moderate acidity and structured above moderate acidity. Flavor show rich plum, fig, cassis and dark cherry with herbs, tobacco, leather, mocha, herbs, earth and touches of vanilla, dried florals and black tea.

January 2, 2021 - Similar to the previous tasting note, this has lush fruit and bright florals with focus and a persistent finish. 2017 was clearly not as stunning as 2016 and even though this is a nicely elegant wine. This is missing the complexity and depth and of other vintages 92+
