September 27, 2021 - Probably at its peak. Purchased from Ridge a few months ago so provenance was likely very good, essentially zero ullage. Cork was about to fall apart with a typical corkscrew, but came out just fine with an Ah So. Deep ruby with basically zero bricking, if anything a hint of garnet around the edge. Delicious red and black fruits on the nose. Plum and baking spice. Palate is more dark fruit with resolved tannin and still apparent acidity. Tasted blind this was pegged for a BDX blend. Not sure if I got a unicorn bottle, but this was stellar

March 8, 2015 - Delicious 50/50 Syrah/Grenache blend. ATP release. Stored perfectly since release. Second bottle in the last six months and this one is even better than the first. Syrah dominates but Grenache helps balance out the bigger wine. Has many years left but at its peak now.

October 13, 2014 - A tad past its prime. Drink now. Went well w duck breast, red Swiss chard, wild rice, & homegrown tomatoes.

September 4, 2014 - Stored perfectly since it was purchased directly from the winery. ATP.
Still tannic. Syrah prevalent, dominates. Very tasty. Opened up nicely. Balanced, well integrated.

(Ridge Syrah/Grenache Lytton Estate) Very dark magenta color; appealing, ripe berry, light caramel, blackberry, roasted meat nose; creamy textured, earthy, oak, smoky, toast, with black fruit dim in the background; medium finish (50/50 Syrah/Grenache, from younger vines)
