December 23, 2019 - Still a little tannic, but drinking quite well.
Decanted an hour before drinking, might have been better to decant a bit earlier.
    Plums, berries, enjoyable.
Still some life left in it.

November 13, 2015 - Very tannic out of the gates and wound tight. 20 minute decant and it started showing currants, black fruits, red plum, cedar, graphite and pencil shavings. The cab franc here lends a bit of herbal tones (not greenness). After 1h of decanting the tannins smoothed somewhat and carried this through on a nice medium+ finish. This could age longer but with a little air this is drinking well now. Tannins need food (had with grilled chicken, grilled lamb and rice).

November 9, 2015 - Nice, oaky, a bit dry berry, but sophisticated. I'd buy it again.

February 20, 2015 - Great concentration. Ripe blackcurrrant nose and hints of cedar. Pretty long to go.

November 9, 2014 - There is a fine line here between too much and "hmmm, yes" - it has a coconut oaky sheen so loved by Cali Cabbers but a touch of tannins and fruit that is just the right side of Right Bank Bordeaux. Starting to mature - the kind of Bordeaux you would serve to Dot.com Californian house wives once the stock price has dropped and they can no longer afford 1st growths, but dont want to face up to wines with any concept of terroir.

As for all the religious gubbins on the label - well.....whatever.

March 28, 2006 - 2005 Bordeaux en Primeur; 3/26/2006-3/28/2006 (Bordeaux France): En Primeur tasting. Rich aromatic start with ripe black cherry and some new oak spice. Black plum and cherry flavors with slightly bigger tannins. Not showing perfect balance yet, but there is a lot going on. Cautiously optimistic.
