September 11, 2023 - Limited acidity, surprisingly. Lots of red and dark fruit but fairly unbalanced. Disappointing. Properly cellared since purchasing on release.
September 8, 2023 - I love the Montafis and particular this vintage, but this bottle came across as surprisingly oaky right after opening. It would have benefitted from opening it an hour or 2 before dinner.
August 31, 2023 - Decanted for an hour, similar to prior notes & although still very good, it was a little less opulent, drink up
August 17, 2023 - Incredibly well integrated, medium bodied zin with red fruit and bramble giving way to smooth plumb and a touch of slate on the finish

April 29, 2023 - Quick decant. Nose of blackberry and black raspberry with a strong oak component. Dusty blueberry, black plum, blackberry jam, laced with dried mint and green onion notes. Plush finish with spiced poached pear, cranapple, and blue fruit with zesty acidity and minerals. Loved this wine tonight!
March 14, 2023 - Absolutely stunning red fruit. Beautifully integrated. Should be gorgeous for the next half decade or more.
