Had a glass with Lasagna. Deep Dark Purplish Red on the Pour; opaque in the glass. Fragrant nose of sweet Blackberry. Blackberry and Cherry on the palate. Robust and full-bodied. Supple tannins and moderate acidity. Exceptionally smooth for a great full-mouth feel. Superior, Elegant wine. Spouse Endorses.
February 12, 2024 - This Syrah showed its pinnacle drinking enjoyment on day 2.
Opens with a nose of deep violet florals and gaminess on day 1. Nice integrated dark fruits,orange rind, tar, trace of menthol, minerality, long finish & medium + acidity.
It has a nice silky mouthfeel and is just hitting its stride. Glad to have another bottle for a few years down the road.
December 6, 2023 - Dark fruits with hints of smokiness and spice. Drinking well but may still be on the upslope and improve with more time - no rush in any case.
November 7, 2023 - Delicious syrah. Young for what it is but quite enjoyable.
September 1, 2023 - Dark, purple red. Very filing. Lots of fruit, Stone, blood. Fresh and young.
April 7, 2023 - Enthralling aromatics. Enveloping. Youthful. Long finish. Classic styling between savory and fruit.
March 14, 2023 - Enjoyed over 2 days. A bright tannic syrah. Rich but not particularly dense.
February 21, 2023 - Delicious, full-bodied, blackberry fruit with licorice and Smokey flavors, excellent structure, long finish

December 31, 2022 - Decanted for 2+ hours; enjoyed over the next 4 hours. The wine definitely continued to develop and improve the longer it was in the decanter. What a hedonistic nose! Oh my! Upon opening this wine and pouring it into the decanter, I just had to stop a enjoy the nose - loads of dark fruits, bit of baking spice, and some dusty chocolate... Yes please! The palate gave us similar tastes with the addition of really dark berries and a little black olive. The texture and finish on this wine were wonderful. It was excellent tonight, but it still has lots of life ahead of it (at least 5 years).
