November 30, 2020 - So much better than my previous bottle of this. Quite beaujolais in style, with a warmer raspberry fruit. For me, this needs a bit more oomph and complexity, but perfectly fine.

October 16, 2020 - A curious wine...
Opened a day or so after being delivered, this was so much lighter than expected - almost gamay/Beaujolais in style, lacking flesh and all-round oomph. Really disappointing.
However, Mrs H revisited the undrunk half-bottle a couple of days later and it seemed more rounded and warmer. Will open our second bottle of this in a few months time...1 person found this helpful Comment -

September 28, 2020 - 43% Grenache, 32% Cinsault, 14% Syrah, 11% Carignan - 12% ABV
Hard austere brittle red fruit. High acidity, hard tannin, light bodied. A wine of very little merit at all, no charm, no pleasure to drink. Short and simple.
This is style currently popular in SA - wines made light and very dry. I get the reaction to over-extraction but this is in itself over the top in the other direction - producing wines which give little or no pleasure. I get that over-extraction can blunt or hide terroir but so can the opposite - blind you would never guess that this was a Grenache based wine - where is the natural generosity of that grape? Completely eradicated and the resultant wine is all the poorer for it.1 person found this helpful Comment -

April 6, 2020 - Second try of this one day later with about half left in bottle and stored int he fridge overnight.
A bit of a guilty pleasure, well made young beaujolais situation here where this was delicious to drink in its straight forward and fresh side of it hat is now. Light and not heavy just bright and fresh but with a soft feel. Again an 88 but happy and very well made wine.2 people found this helpful Comment -

April 5, 2020 - Soft and in a way light, very welcoming and albeit 2yrs old we felt this is not a bad time to have this at all. Will it age ? we dnt know but at this stage with its nice but round fresh fruit, spirited on the palate, good acidity and a lightness on the fruit and wine making this felt just very pretty. a very god 88 for now.
