September 5, 2023 - I was expecting an extracted, syrupy Syrah, but what I found was a balanced, medium bodied, elegant Syrah that stays true to its Northwen Rhone roots. While still on the young side, it opens up after a 1-2 hour decant.

July 23, 2022 - Lovely Syrah, co-fermented with a touch of Viogner. Fabulous paired with a simple grilled flatiron steak, sautéed mushrooms, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes.

March 3, 2022 - Life is short and the world is a dangerous place. Opening a $75 wine on a Thursday night seems like a good idea.

Some Rocks funk with a lower acidity than expected. Smooth mouthfeel and easy drinking. Not sure that this really needs anymore time.

February 1, 2022 - Opened and allowed to sit in a glass for an hour or so before tasting, then followed over two nights. Do yourself a favor and sit on these for another 2-3 years before checking in. Patience will be rewarded. Very good now, this is only going to get better. More subtlety in the Rocks signature savory, briny notes, this is more on the elegant side, showing finesse with a balance of the savory with fruit. Last glass was the best.

January 29, 2022 - Twin Cities Wine Club Rides Again: Washington State (Edina, MN): Young. Decanted 2 hours and probably could of used 5 plus. White pepper, mild funk, flowers, green olives and stone. I would advise holding these until 2026. (Natural cork)
