  Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of Kirsch, currants, boysenberries and black pepper. Flavors of plums, currants and boysenberries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink with air or hold.

  November 24, 2021 - Very good! Still quite young with lots of fruit up front. But that fruit is beautifully balanced. I would suggest it will really start hitting its stride in 2025.

  October 21, 2020 - Rays 6, Dodgers 4. Game 2 of 2020 World Series. Former Durham Bull Blake Snell was gutsy in his 4.2-inning start. Dodgers seem generally susceptible to quality LHP. The Syrah held up adequately to homemade beef stew. Paired better with the Campo de Montalban cheese course. Regardless, we always enjoy a Villa Creek wine though this wasn’t our favorite.

  September 1, 2020 - This wine would age quite well. It's still very fruit-forward, but the tannins let you know you are drinking a big full wine. This is a high-quality wine with just a little more age would really round out the (minor) rough spots.
