February 4, 2020 - The most sophisticated of the three 'Contradas' tasted. The bouquet features Chamolle-Musigny-like perfume, before, as with the 'Sciaranuova', taking on a Barbaresco-like profile, underpinned by ash and volcanic elements. Seductive power, profound depth, range, and balance. A thinking wine lover's wine, and quite provocative. Improvement is quite likely. 95-96.
