October 10, 2021 - Light blueberry with a clean fresh structure and an abbreviated finish but still solid
April 17, 2020 - Probably past prime, still some light blueberry fruit jammy up front, fairly simple, smooth, not that oaky now, tannins provide a light, basic, simple finish without much follow through but still pleasant.
August 12, 2016 - Drank at Oak Tree over a week or so. Nothing special.
August 18, 2012 - Nothing wrong with it, but nothing interesting about it either. Lighter, straightforward cab with simple nose. Technically correct but soulless.
July 7, 2012 - Pretty basic and un-interesting mid level cab. Expected a little more from letting it age, but it really lost some of its brightness and has an off, steely finish.
May 16, 2011 - a truly good wine, even though drunk outside the proscribed window.
January 1, 2011 - Best before it is fully open and oak dominated. Silky texture. Could probably age a little longer. Medium finish, little complexity.
October 11, 2010 - ms808 nailed it!
October 26, 2009 - I can see I'm not the only one dissappointed by this wine. nice bouquet berry, plum, nice CA smell. On the palate, smooth, dark fruits, well rounded, but flat texture and no depth. Finish is iron / metalic and short. Decent, not good overall.
June 14, 2009 - an archtypal example of the new world style poorly done. This wine is grossly over-oaked. A fuzzy blanket of tannin dominates the entire palate, only letting a little thin and artificial tasting currant and black cherry pass. The fruit will never catch up with the oak in this one.
much, much better choices abound for the $17-$20 this sells for on sale.
