March 24, 2024 - 12.5% from organically grown grapes. Native yeast fermentation, no fining, no filtration, low sulfites. Aged in amphorae with skin contact.

Medium golden yellow. Peaches and melon, medium full mouthfeel, medium long finish. Good acidity. Very good.

November 15, 2023 - Last of 6 bottles. Consistently a crowd-pleaser- everyone gushed about this. Lightly raspy from skin-contact, aromatic of jasmine and white peach, long, medium-bodied, textural and finely balanced. A perfect pairing with roast chicken.

December 10, 2022 - Two years since my last bottle, this is now even better. Everything has integrated into a wine that is aromatically full, creamy yet fresh, richly textured, amply weighted from entry to finish, and deeply savory but in no way tired. No rush to finish any remaining bottles of this wine. I wish I had more myself

April 27, 2022 - God I love this wine. Might be my favorite Sabelli-Frisch of them all. So textural and savory, yet weightless (unless almost every other Marsanne I’ve had). Golden orchard fruit, a whiff of walnuts, lemon wax, some yellow plum, and a hint of pretzel. Lightly raspy on the finish. Such great QPR.

February 26, 2022 - First bottle cracked from Berserker Day this year. Shoutout to Adam for the killer wine at a killer price! This bursts onto the nose and palate with peach, yellow apple and just a hint of honey. The acidity is very nice on the palate and it really opens up as it warms in the glass. This wine is interesting, delicious, and balanced and I keep find myself pouring another glass...

February 9, 2022 - Honey/amber hue in the glass. Initially not giving up much on the nose, but then baking spices, pear and apricot come in as the wine warms to room temp. Nice bright acid on the palate, suspended between citrus notes on the front end and a nutty finish, with what I'm calling a subtle viscosity underpinning it all. Love how unique and tasty this is. Nicely done!

January 29, 2022 - A light honeyed, slightly oxidized overall presentation; Showed best near room temp - this was a nuanced wine that was a bit too clouded when chilled; Interesting

March 8, 2021 - No formal notes; OHNE_MUSIK and BENJ's are right on.

However, I much preferred this on day 1. It lost focus on the second day, particularly the finish. I would suggest consuming this over the course of a single evening.

January 21, 2021 - Rhone whites have, more often than not, been misses rather than hits for me. Lack of acid, fatiguing, and heavy footed. This wine is none of those. Classic Marsanne notes of spiced pear, golden raisin, and white peach, but buttressed by juicy acid and a bit of bitterness and raspy texture (like hazelnut skins) from the skin contact fermentation Finely detailed flavors that maintain a beautiful tension. Under the rasp is a lustrous mouthfeel, a subtle lactic note, and a sneaky long finish with hints of almonds and honey. Delicious now but seems likely to improve over the near term. 92+ on its own, and killer QPR!
