September 6, 2020 - Strong fruit drowns out a little of the complexity, but given that it’s still a 2018 this is a great vintage. I suspect it will mellow some with age, but either way a great Sonoma Coast Pinot and another marvel from Kosta.

August 28, 2020 - This is more traditional than the Wren Hop on the same night but exudes poise and and a pillowy softness; cherry, candied apple, long luscious finish again of cherry and earth. Not so extracted but at the same time a very isolated PN, could drink this every day. 94. Could drink daily

May 1, 2020 - A well balanced and pleasant Pinot. Nice layers of strawberries, mint, raspberries, cedar and red licorice. A nice long finish.

April 23, 2020 - The 2018 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir takes the characteristics of the Sonoma Coast AVA, isolates the high-toned cherry components, and turns it up to an 11. In the process though, this downs out all of the nuance that I expect from a Sonoma Coast pinot. The notes of rose petals, black pepper, and earth are there, but they are drowned out by the overly ripe fruit. At $80, there are a lot better valued vineyard-designates in Sonoma.

March 19, 2020 - Yeah it’s young and we just got it, but it’s the 5th night of lockdown, might as well taste it. Love Kosta.
