September 25, 2022 - P&p; drinking well right away. Smells like red fruit along the lines of pomegranate and hibiscus, with dried flower petals, spice, wood (reasonably subtle), and wet stone. Crunchy and fresh, with excellent acidity, and a bit of additional structure from moderately grippy tannins. Appetizing touch of bitterness toward the finish, contributing to a sense of stony/ferrous minerality. Tasty and fresh, with some substance and depth, enjoyable wine.

July 24, 2022 - Lots of funky goodness here, with barnyard and leather notes leading the way. Black raspberry, dark chocolate, and black pepper weave in, with ample acidity keeping it lively. Hint of sanguine too. Tasty and a nice change of pace.

    June 21, 2022 - Excellent wine.
    Very Syrah like.
Love that dry mineral, granitic like taste and smell.
Lots of mulberry and descent finish.
Meats, and meats, very good to pair with lamb which causes a good smoke to come out.
This is better than the 2019, which is still needing time, but much more rich.
Good luck finding this year on the West Coast.

Now that this has had a few open hours, it's just fabulous!
Delicious meats, cured meats, bbq meats: It's bloody. Beef blood. Bikraver.
    Raoul Perez is legend.
    I buy everything he releases.
Still got some of his 2001 Mencia and so perfect.

God! I love this bloody wine!

June 12, 2022 - This is great. Light red fruits, touch of dried herbs/spices, and an interesting red earth element. That latter piece comes through as a drying, clay/brick taste & texture. Midweight, great crystalline red fruit layered with that herbal tinge. Nice acid & structure on the finish makes it work well with food.
