June 5, 2023 - Last bottle (I think) and glad to be done with it: Less tropical fruit than before, more tired, exhausted.

November 15, 2022 - Wow - there’s so much going on here. An explosive nose of orange blossom, ripe stone fruits and apple crumble. The intensity and variety of aromas keep you coming back for another sample.

On the palate it’s broad and intense, with medium to full body: cooked apples, some stone fruit, vanilla, sea spray and honey. Some acidic lift on the finish to keep everything in check and on the right side of fresh. It ain’t subtle but it’s a lot of fun.

100% fermented in French oak, malolactic conversion and aged 9 months on lees. Low yields from old vines, and an absolute steal from the Wine Society at £19.

    November 5, 2022 - Pale golden yellow.
Great nose of tropical fruits, bread and baked apples.
Richness in the mouth plus pineapple, citrus and some oak. Alcohol present - 14%. Good length.
Excellent California Chardonnay, oak and malolactic, great value at $20. Drinking well now.

June 22, 2022 - This was consistent with a bottle 6 months ago. This is a fabulous chardonnay for the price. The palate is soft, plenty of acid, light oak, tropical flavors. To me, this is the best value in California chardonnay and if anyone disagrees, I would love to hear your suggestions.

May 25, 2022 - Frankly, I had I higher hopes for this! While I almost always love Mt Eden's slate of Cabs & PNs, the Chards have always struck me as more typical CA style than the uniqueness of Santa Cruz Mt terroir infused by Jeffrey Patterson's hands off farming & cellar magic delivered by the reds. This has that too frequent, overwhelming for me, CA toasty oak spice & heavier creaminess vs. the energetic weightlessness of classic French Chardonnays from the Cote Beaune & Chablis. If you love the likes of Rocholi Chards this is might appeal for 1/3rd the cost. 14% alc. 88/89 for my palate.
