Community Tasting Notes 1

December 29, 2023 - Popped and poured, courtesy of R&D. Deep opaque ruby/purple color with notes of blue fruit, cassis, mocha and five spice powder. Firm but fine, sweet tannin with black fruit dominating the palate. Develops an elegant floral overtone with air. Full-bodied but more fruit-driven than oak-driven, this was a lovely young Napa cab tonight that was drinking surprisingly well for being so young. As 'elegant' a Lewis cabernet as I can recall having tasted.
