January 23, 2022 - A relatively ripe style, a tad hot at 14.5%. Young but much more approachable than the 2010 vintage at the same age.

June 4, 2021 - Completing the evening with a truly great Brunello.

An hour decant isn’t enough to show this wine’s full potential. 3 hours did it for me - with regular sampling ever 15 min of course.

Smooth leather, cherry, tobacco, oak and blackberry on the nose, followed with chocolate, balsamic, dried violet and pepper on the palate, for a long finish down the hatch.

The longer it breathed, the more earthy and ageing notes were noticeable.

Smooth, yet bold, grippy tannins, well balanced. Excellent.

March 18, 2021 - Splash decant; could have used an hour or more. Another classic example of this grape and region, with understated purity and lovely balance. Glides on the palate, with bright cherry, some spice, soil and dried herbs. There was a slight coarseness at first which had disappeared after 1 hr open. The finish is avg, but I believe it'll grow as this continues to evolve. Great food wine, exceptional value. highly recommended+

July 26, 2020 - Light ruby red. Aromas of cherry, tobacco, pepper, and oak. High acidity with grippy tannins. Long finish. Delightful!

February 21, 2020 - 2015 Brunello di Montalcino, new releases (Montalcino centro): Benvenuto Brunello 2020, Montalcino

Lovely red fruits, floral perfume, citrus, pomegranate, Tuscan dust. A traditional palate/style that's med/med+, shows lots of fresh acidity, good+ balance, and an avg finish. This will likely improve, and its apogee may well be in 6-8 years. Very fine effort; modernists won't like it. highly recommended
