June 23, 2022 - Still young but enjoyable at age 18. Plenty of life left but no harm in beginning to drink now. Blind tasted; the group was all over the place: Northern Rhone, Burgundy even Bordeaux.

April 17, 2022 - Slow-ox'ed in bottle for 5-6 hours, I doubt that made much difference in a magnum.
This was drinking beautifully, reddish fruit, gentle tannins but enough acidity and structure to complement our meal. This particular bottle had no obvious flaws and was ready to go. Best barolo I've had in some time (maybe ever?).

March 28, 2022 - WOTN, probably. Still a young wine, but coming around, notes og chalky tobacco, a sweet well defined fruit underneath, focused, concentrated. vertical - and very elegant - world class. No crime to drink it now.

January 29, 2022 - I read some concerning notes on this wine so decided to check in. This bottle was excellent. Very pure red fruits with that ferrous edge I associate with Francia. Very linear and taught but opened up with food to show a very rich brothy undertone to complement the fruit and woodland notes. This is a bottle with no back label and was bought on the secondary market, which I don't usually do, but it turned out great. [shrug] Wine can be a mystery.
