March 31, 2020 - Popped and poured. Probably would have benefitted from air. Medium yellow color. Rich and viscous. Highly floral with lots of white and yellow flowers. Sweeter than I had been expecting - would describe this is off dry. Not bone dry. Good acidity and balance - this seems to have integrated it acidity and is softer than younger wines. This was good but was hoping for a little less residual sugar.

October 27, 2019 - Breuer Schlossberg ve Nonnenberg 1996-2008 (Weingut Breuer in Rüdesheim): not blind, double decanted for 6 hours
flight with Nonnenberg 97 and Schloßberg and Nonnenberg 2004. All wines and phantastic and very Close in Quality. All wines in the Top 5. And SB 1997 WOTN.
Candyfloss, fine, reluctant, concentrated, phenolic, great length and precision. At his top at least for 5 more years. 97+ -

October 25, 2019 - Georg Breuer - Double vertical Schlossberg / Nonnenberg 1996-2008 (Weingut Georg Breuer, Rüdesheim, Germany): Glass: Stölzle White
All wines (except where noted otherwise) where double decanted about 7-10h before tasting.
Pale, youthful golden color! Amazing nose! So deep and dense and complex.
I can simply copy my notes from last year: Dry, medium (+), ripe and well-integrated acidity. It is very dense and deep. Every component is tightly woven into the other. Lots of extract, great texture and grip. Perfectly balanced, great elegance and finesse. Aromas of ripe yellow fruit and granny smith apple, spiciness, herbs and lots of saltiness. Finish is very long, delicate and pure elegance! Gets better and better with air and time. This bottle is certainly at its peak, because I could not believe that it gets any better, but it would stay on this level for at least 5+ years. Great wine, great experience. 97 -

April 21, 2019 - Great Riesling! White fruits, lean, fresh with great acidity. What a length and concentration.

March 21, 2019 - Not blind
For many the WOTN. For me compared to the 2004 from Magnum less concentrated and I preferred the herbal and saline notes of the 2004 but still a great wine. At his peak. 94
