June 10, 2022 - quaffable
December 2, 2021 - Not a lot of body but light and enjoyable.
September 4, 2021 - 2018 Conundrum White Blend (California)
User friendly mixture of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscat Canelli and Viognier. A “marketing melange” designed for broad consumer appeal (and possibly inventory management). Intriguingly orchestrated aromatics that include apricot, apple, orange blossom and ginger. A fruit salad wine with apple flavoured Chardonnay at the fore, followed by white peach, pineapple and chamomile with a pinch of residual sugar. This eccentric but enjoyably constructed blend remains round and full on the palate. Finishes with a tinge of Viognier soapiness, but in a nice Irish Spring kind of way. Not sure the sum is better than its parts but I must admit that this conundrum is simultaneously challenging yet inoffensive. Keep the bottling line in high gear.
April 25, 2021 - Error in input
April 9, 2021 - Jus de planche, grossier.
February 12, 2021 - Nice nose of a rainy day and light citrus. Slightly acidic with light oak, lemon zest with a small bite back of a lime. Very refreshing for a picnic outside. Good everyday white wine.
January 19, 2021 - It's a melange and you might like it or not, it doesn't taste like any other wine you've had. The viognier seems to be leading the dance (honeysuckle and wildflowers), together with the sauvignon blanc (lemon and honeydew), and the muscat (a sweet finish), but with some mineral qualities from the chardonnay. Pair it with equally strange things (a curry takeaway) or drink it as an aperitif.
November 5, 2020 - Nice and Crisp, goes well with the warm weather we always have. Hints of Citrus.
November 1, 2020 - On the nose lots of citrus with some grassiness, On the Pallet it's enjoyable with some grapefruit and some peach or nectarine. A Great Hot weather wine for sure.
October 20, 2020 - Disappointing compared to prior Conundrums
