May 30, 2020 - Uncorked 17 hours prior to serving into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Fruit” day): Pale garnet with bricking rims to the eyes.
Soy, mature red fruits like berries and cherries.
Highly acidic and minerality indeed. More about purity here.
A little more VA than one would be able to enjoy fully but may be due to condtions?
92-93 points.
Second round, 19 hours upon opening: Even more VA now sadly, but still some seaweed line minerality here. -

February 1, 2020 - Double decanted in the Am and drunk over dinner over several hours.
Dark and boarding and a style shift form the Bartolo wines earlier. Darker nebbiolo fruit, tar, some savory notes. Rich and ripe, showing the vintage, but in an expansive and deep mode rather than heat. This displays the best parts of '90. On the palate, darker fruits, tar and a lovely mix of balsamic and savory notes on the back end. Very long, it finishes with terrific inner mouth premie, with more balsam and tar than fruit and floral notes. Drinking at peak and not going anywhere anytime soon. -

February 1, 2020 - [Double-decanted for one hour at 5pm.] Big smokey red and black fruit nose. A gorgeous wine right at its peak. Long, complex, elegant. A superb bottle of Barolo.

April 21, 2017 - Dobbeltdekantert og servert 7 timer senere. Dyp og ren rødfrukt, blomsterbutikk med fokus på roser, noe tjære og streif av treverk fikk jeg i nesen. Munnfølelsen preget av knuste røde bær, vibrerende syre og fortsatt stødig struktur. Avslutningen bød på sur-søt frukt med et noe mineralsk og krydret drag. Elegant og ikke preget av den varme årgangen i det hele tatt. Min siste flaske var bare perfekt!

January 10, 2016 - Drukket i tre seanser over 2 mnd med coravin. Siste gangen dekantert og luftet et par timer i karaffel. Lang og intakt kork. Mursteinsrød. Klar(når dekantert, ellers en del bunnfall.) Fortsatt noe frukt. Mørke kirsebær. Roser, tjære, litt balsamisk. Syrlig anslag. Litt midne kirsebær, Skogbunn. Medium minus fylde, medium konsentrasjon. Avslepne men fortsatt tilstedeværende taniner. Litt tørr, middels lang ettersmak. Fortsatt høyst i live men nok pp tur ned. 90p
