  February 4, 2024 - This bottle is a weaker entry than the previous (so far). Blackberries, balsamic. Smooth but not much structure. Vanilla and spice elements are in hiding.

  August 9, 2023 - Nice wine but it needs some cellaring. Dark purple/ crimson color with a soft nose. On the palate, dark berry fruits, cassis, plum and some coffee. The wine and tannins need time to resolve and settle in, but better days are ahead for this wine. There are some 2017's that are pretty wines and this Hall Cab is heading in a destination should prove pleasing with patience. 92 Points.

  February 27, 2023 - Spicy black pepper, hot and sanguine on the nose right out of the bottle. Once settled after a long decant (longer the better), concentrated cassis, plum and mocha flavors persist on a lasting finish. Tannins settle, but, far from subsiding. Over time will add weight, texture and complexity yielding a 95 pt wine. Great now and exceptional for those with patience.
