December 31, 2023 - Solid effort. Great profile as always. These vines are something like 20 years old now so there have been nuanced changes over the years but the main profile has remained very consistent. This has been my favorite wine for a long time and they've done nothing to screw that up!

October 16, 2023 - Peay pinot - thank you Vanessa! I consider the Scallop Shelf to be their BEST (some may argue). The black dark cherry and roses; the floral and forest aromas; the mild body with smooth tannins and mild acidity. What more do you want (old world tobacco)? This is an excellent wine to pair with Mediterranean chicken, salmon, or a variety of light dishes. If you don't enjoy it as a "light" pinot noir, let me know.

October 1, 2023 - A bit on the light side. Fruit and acid prevailing. Excellent upon opening and with time in the decanter. Has 3-5 years to go.

September 3, 2023 - Hold (2024?). First impression is acid. 3 hr decant, cranberries, salinity, roses. Medium weight, fine but present tannins. Food needs to be flavorful to compete with the energy of this.
