January 7, 2015 - The nose smells of barnyard and band aids and the palate is not much different but with a hint of sour cherry. The wine is medium bodied with some fruit still present. However, it lacked balance due to a moderate drop off in the fruit with tannins still present. I also sensed that the wine might have been affected by Brett. Not sure how the wine tasted young but at least this bottled did not age well.

June 21, 2014 - Drinking well. The wine was a little cloudy and had a fair bit of sediment, but didn't affect the quality of the wine. Nice round dark fruit flavors with just a hint of barnyard. This smells and tastes like a true mature Bordeaux. The tannins were well integrated, even if still a little forward - a good sign that this wine is built to withstand time (and it has). The nose wasn't as perfumed as I would expect - it was somewhat restrained, but came out more over the course of 2-3 hours. The finish was medium long and pleasant. This wine is very balanced and very enjoyable. Drank with rack of lamb.

January 3, 2010 - Served with roasted leg of lamb at new Years dinner. Bit muted and closed on the nose, but later opered up with some black current and toasted notes. Good mouthfeel and charming lenght. Good mature bordeaux experience, but nothing really exciting going on.

November 23, 2009 - Nice aged Pomerol- Nose of beef or consomme' and fruit. Very pleasant mouthfeel cherries and tannins still there - chewy finish. Almost tea like color and look on pour.

September 10, 2009 - Drinking exceptionally well. Beautiful pure ,sweet, aged fruit with the acidity and tannins complimenting it perfectly.

August 19, 2009 - Reddish orange, med-bodied, soaring aromaics of cooked cherries and flowers with a little candied smell to it. Good, tannins with enough tartness to offset the fruit but not too much at all. I like this very much. A good aged Bordeaux experience.
