April 14, 2018 - One of the wines featured at OperaWine 2018 in Verona. Natural, unfined, unfiltered, 100+ year-old-vine Cannonau. Amazingly complex, rich and still relatively youthful, despite being 14-years old. The label says 17% abv, but it doesn't seem quite that high. It is definitely worth trying after a decant. The back label warns that "every bottle can be different," so expect bottle variation.

December 15, 2016 - Amazing--It took about 3 days to yield a very satisfying glass of wine. . .don't know if YOUR long decant can allow that much time, if not, wait a few years before opening.

Italiana Does not like this wine: flawed
July 24, 2016 - Flawed bottle? Pungent petrochemical aromas never fully dissipated, masking what seemed to be some nice, rich fruit, indicating that there might be a really nice wine in the bottle somewhere. The incredible alcohol level adds heat to the unpleasant aromas. Hoping for better from the next bottle.

July 1, 2013 - Granato chiaro, piuttosto trasparente. Al naso mirto, ginepro, macchia mediterranea, ciliegia matura, note animali, eucalipto, in un quadro di salmastra mineralità. Bocca intensa ma di sorprendente eleganza, non pervenuta l’alcolicità
