April 17, 2020 - I don't think I've ever had rosé of cab franc before, even some kind of Chinon, and this certainly comes from crazy high-end vines. Color is vivid, and the first sips crazy with tension - a flash of grapefruit, for instance - and then a fairly blunt-force finish. After it warms up a few minutes, it eases up and becomes pleasant if a bit subtle. But then - with food! This was born to accompany stir-fries. We had one with some potent hot sauce, and the Detert went brilliantly with it.
