November 4, 2023 - Old world. Step N and punchy flavor for its light weight. Somewhat spicy and sharp.
October 25, 2023 - This is quite good with lots of dark cherry fruit, dusty cherries, spicy, some leather and good minerality.

June 19, 2022 - Good balance in a pretty concentrated Barbera. Focus on blue berries, but alsoa underlying freshness. Long aftertaste. It is ready for drinking now and least 3 years ahead but not long term project

October 3, 2021 - A great Barbera from Aldo Conterno. Nice red fruits, great acidity, wonderful harmoni. A little to young for me, needs 2 - 3 more years in the cellar. Had it to homemade pizza with mushroom and ham, grat match. Drink or hold.
July 4, 2021 - Pretty fiery aromas with nice spices that are over raspberries, licorice, leather and almost balsamic tones here as well. Medium-bodied and juicy Barbera that the Conterno guys probably picked earlier than normal. The wine may not have the body as usual, but still the fruit character is preserved in a surprisingly god way with raspberries, spices and salts. Good acid refreshes. Good finish. They did well in the warmer vintage!
April 29, 2021 - Give it an hour "on air" and it will give you pleasure with black cherry, sour cherry, some herbs with minerality. Tannins are soft, acidity gives backbone. For me always one of the best Barbera out there!
