November 24, 2023 - Like most ‘03 Napas I’ve had, showing surprisingly young. Blackcurrant, plum, ginger, baking spice, leather shoe. A delightful floral edge to the nose. Palate is fresh, showing black fruit with a vibrant current of red fruit as well. Some acidic, earthy tannin.

June 1, 2013 - Purple color with spicy red fruit aromas mixed with lavender and licorice. Black cherry, blackberry, some cranberry up front, the finish is medium long with cedar oak and drying tannins. The wine was very tight when opened and deceanted, but evolved into a nice cab after a couple of hours. This wine tasted young and I'd hold this wine for another 5-10 years when it is fully mature.
