January 14, 2023 - Decanted but could PnP for this vintage now. To the nose, dark fruit and a hint of oak. On the palate, dark more than red fruit particularly black plum, blackberry and slight blueberry. Black pepper mostly among spices. Minimal earth and leather; slight suggestion of singed oak. Good, clean structure. Smooth, medium mouthfeel with medium to med/long length. For complexity, mostly a single layer with occasional second tier. High alcohol content is not apparent. Drinking well now.
