March 4, 2022 - M+ aromatics of cherry cola, black cherry, raspberry, vanilla and orange blossom. Very primary still. Super juicy on the palette. A bit of structure from the nebbiolo (m+ acid and med tannin I would say) but for me the juicy fruit dominates.
Perhaps I was just looking to scratch the wrong itch with this wine -- easy-drinking California pinot fans will really enjoy it. -

92% Pinot noir and 8% Nebbiolo co-ferment.
12% abv.
Almost transparent light ruby color.
Nose almost a hint of smoke, blackberries, a rose floral note.
Palate stony, red berries, light bodied. Faint but noticeable tannic grip on finish.
benefits from pairing with a richer dish to balance out its structured elements. still could benefit from some more time. 90 pts with upside.
