Community Tasting Notes 3

April 21, 2021 - Notes of green banana, honey & peach. Med to full body - Aromatic finish with a slightly oily mineral texture. A complex Rhone Blanc from a renowned producer.

March 22, 2021 - This wine is pale lemon. Very pleasant on the nose. Ripe fruit, green melon, nectarine, yellow pear, apricot, fruit cocktail. Light bakery aromas and even some wet stone. The palate is hit with creamy buttery notes and citrus in addition to the fruit from from the nose. Great complexity. Very mouth-filling, full-body, off-dry, and lacking some needed acidity. Alcohol is moderate.
The complexity is terrific on this wine and can definitely keep you entertained. It is mostly in balance, but the fruit and not-quite-bone-dry nature of it demands a little more acidity than is there. All in all, the intensity and diversity of flavors persist for a pleasant finish. This is a very good wine.

December 1, 2020 - Star bright gold. White flowers and honeyed stone fruit on the nose and fleshy, full-bodied palate. Lengthy, layered finish adds anise and white pepper. Medium acidity; somewhat higher than what you’d get in the New World. It checks all of the white Rhône boxes — complexity, body, aromatics — and does so with aplomb. The Viognier to drink when you don’t want to spring for Condrieu. Drink by 2024.
