May 28, 2023 - Cork broke in half upon extraction but otherwise was in good condition. Crystal clear light amber - almost orange in colour. Beautiful! Quite viscous, it really coats the glass. Complex nose of candied apricot, clean straw, barley sugar, honey, light rancio, maybe even petrol?, sweet oak, earl grey tea and more. Very complex and layered on the nose! Round and full and smooth, almost oily on the palate, very sweet at first and then a hit of spice, finishing with great acidity that keeps it fresh and clean, almost crisp! Apricot, marmalade, barley sugar, honey, spice, and more on the palate that mirrors the nose perfectly. Very long sweet / spicy finish. Super delicious and delicately decadent! Easy 95 points!
