November 30, 2023 - 90-91
October 12, 2023 - Not cool aid, but the fruit bomb is pretty close. High alcohol, very muddled fruit, some coffee, not much secondary characteristics. No acid balance. Good for saving a bottle when friends are over, and you've had too much to drink.
August 20, 2023 - No formal notes.
Lots of delicious, nearly syrupy red fruit. Very smooth and not hot despite the high alcohol content. Medium-plus body with nearly non-existent tannins.
Not a stunner for me, but good enough. Not bad at the $29 USD I paid via Last Bottle, but any more than that would be poor value.
July 8, 2023 - Consistent notes vs last bottle.
May 27, 2023 - Lots of fruits. Nice body but not overpowering. Enjoyable.
May 21, 2023 - This is a Whopper of a wine. Loads of blackberry, tobacco and hints of blood. This is not for the faint hearted.
May 15, 2023 - Day One: Rhubarb, sour cherry, dark berries, cinnamon, spice, smooth tannins and some oak that blows off pretty quickly. The dark fruits dominated after first opening, and by the end of the first glass had softened noticeably. Second Day: Everything had integrated nicely and the grenache was fuller bodied with soft fruit and spice notes. Very nice! I will wait another year on the 2nd bottle.
May 4, 2023 - Fruit forward. Minimal tannins.
April 20, 2023 - Ripe cherry, blackberry, rhubarb, camphor, cinnamon, menthol, cedar, soft velvety tannins, nice balance with some heat at the end. Great value at the 30 dollar price tag, wish I had bought more. This was a PnP and drank well out of the gate.
February 8, 2023 - Like the wine very much, but the bottle shape not! Second day was even better.
