April 9, 2019 - Dinner at MingHin (Chicago, IL): From half-bottle. Very good acidity and lift here; this doesn't come off as a clumsy Sauternes -- in fact, this is incredibly clean cut, with precise dried fruit flavours. The botrytis doesn't seem heavy here: the colour is relatively light for a wine of this age, and the palate doesn't show as much spice and orange peel. It's a fresher, more elegant style of Sauternes, but absolutely works for my palate.

March 27, 2019 - Heidi's Redux: More Heavy Hitters (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Deep golden amber color. From 375ml. Drank a small glass over half an hour. This was really on point tonight. Great nose with peach, apricot, orange, spice, and creme brulee. The palate is consistent with the nose and has excellent crispness and acid to match the texture and fruit. A beauty. Love the '90 Sauternes.

October 16, 2018 - 9th of 24 halves, pnp, perfect cork and level, as last year's half, splendid stuff! VF (18.5).

August 26, 2017 - 8th of 24 halves, pnp, perfect cork and level, perhaps even more impressive than Feb note with its lovely apricot cut, refreshing, pure and very very long and complex, final glass drunk on 8 Sept when it outshone a slightly disappointing Yquem '89! (VF+).

March 3, 2017 - Wax, polish, dried apricot and pineapple, honey, heady alcohol, quite textured, decently balanced. A classy well aged, warm year Sauternes.
