September 28, 2022 - Decanted one hour. Very light color which means nothing. No Old World nose. Taste is nice acidity and lots of red, Chambolle fruits. More feminine and ethereal which is nice. Very muc a finesse wine but with lots of flavor. Not mild at all. Long finish and will improve with more bottle time. Excellent wine.

August 30, 2022 - It is young and would probably mellow over time and merit a higher score in the future. You can taste it is a warm year with ample fruit mainly to the darker side and some sweetness. It is quite concentrated with good depth being true to its Ribbon Ridge location. I would have liked a bit more nerve and minerality.

June 16, 2022 - Part of the 2018 Oregon pinot noir tasting; in the middle of the pack.

March 16, 2022 - Just started trying some Oregon Pinot’s recently and this is the best one so far. Decanted. One hour. Lighter color. Lots of Chambolle like red fruits. Delicate and feminine and right up my alley. Ice high acidity to carry the wine many years. Nice flavor layers and excellent QPR.

January 22, 2022 - A game of two halves. Lovely colour, and a quite pronounced cherry fruit on the nose upon opening, but a curiously mute palate. Quite full and ripe, and seemingly more heft than its 13%abc might suggest, not unattractive but really very little to say for itself, and all a bit simple and somewhat clumsy. However, after a couple of hours this is transformed. It snaps in to focus and reveals a really very nicely defined variety of the brighter red fruits with cranberry and redcurrant joining the now more subdued cherry, and even a touch of pomegranate. Bright and vibrant, but minerally and finely crystalline. The second half, so to speak, holds character nicely overnight in the fridge and is just as pleasant with lunch as it was the preceding evening. ***/87 on opening, but ***1/2 witting upside potential once it gets going. Cellar for a few years or open a few hours in advance.
