January 2, 2021 - Inky purple color, almost black. Notes of plum, blackberry, 5-spice powder, anise, chocolate and violet. Velvety texture, supple, a backbone of sinewy tannins for the zesty blackberry flavors, hints of anise and a lingering spicy finish.

March 26, 2020 - COVID-19 "Shelter-in-Place"; 3/17/2020-5/31/2020 (Redwood City, CA): Received a shipment from this boutique winery in the Rogue Valley last evening. Trying their Teroldego, which is a varietal I have never tried before, largely because it's native to Italy and we had bruschetta with dinner.
1h air. Inky purple color and serious viscosity in glass. Aromas of backberry, a slightly worrying amount of oak, 5 spice powder and chocolate. Silky texture, dark and dense blackberry, surprisingly well-balanced oak, and a spicy finish with lingering sinewy tannins. A pleasant surprise.
