February 4, 2008 - Always nice. Mellow flavors of blueberries and dark chocolate.

May 28, 2007 - May have outlived it's time. My recollection of this vintage didn't quite live up to the expectation. A big, bold nose of leather and tobacco gave way to a disappointingly thin flavor profile.

May 31, 2006 - Simple but a real pleasure to drink with BBQ. Opened 4 bottles. Last note I wrote that these may be in decline. I take it back these bottles were all wonderful. What a great QPR.

January 23, 2006 - This remains an easy drinking, balanced, and enjoyable wine. This most recent bottle was less exuberent than its departed siblings, but I dectected no obvious faults. Is it profound? No. Will is last for 40 years? No. Is it an example of the steady increase in the quality of wine and one of the best QPRs in the last four years? Absolutely!

January 17, 2006 - Much of this wine's fruit, evident a couple of years ago, were gone when we drank it. It was still pretty tannic, though. Not terrible, but not good either.
