  December 14, 2020 - After opening, there was something that just didn't work for me. It was a nose thing. I drank a third and left the rest. Day two, it was much better. Full bodied, big nose of blackberry and dark cherry, mild menthol. Sticky tannins, but it went well with bbq'd hamburgers. Needs a year or two really to settle down. I agree with the note below...it was a shock since I've always loved Border Vines. I think this needs time.

  November 2, 2020 - Frankly this was a disappointment from a winery We generally really like. Drank this bottle over two nights, hoping it would open up, but it never it. Little nose (mostly alcohol) and a bitter taste on the back end. I’d give this a miss for the price.

  November 1, 2020 - Nose of smoke and leather, blackberries and blueberries, vanilla, wet earth.
  
  
  The palate follows the nose with high grippy tannins, med plus acidity and a long finish.
