This wine has not gotten all that complex, it is falling apart, and yet it is still too big. The alcohol is quite evident and it is becoming grainy. There are big dark syrah components that would suggest it needs more time, while the mouthfeel and alcohol tell you that this wine is in decline. This is hard to score, so I'm leaving it unscored.

January 12, 2018 - PnP dark ruby, medium body, cherry nose. Moderate fruit, peppery finish. Drinking well, balanced, should go a few more years.
