October 9, 2022 - Drank after a 1 hour decant with half of the bottle, and it continued to improve. Vacuum stored in fridge, and was drinking well still on day 3. There still is life left but would recommend drinking up. Unlikely to improve. I thought the balance was pretty good. Not too complex, but enjoyable.

March 17, 2020 - It’s not bad. Bright. Light flavor of raspberry. Dry tannins.

Por copas. Opulento por su mayoritaria proporción de Merlot. Los ásperos taninos aconsejan dejarlo unos años más tumbada. Tampoco esperes un gran resultado.

February 18, 2018 - Needs at least one hour of air. It's good and still youthful, but nothing special, could be more integrated. To buy only if you can find it for a low price.

November 11, 2017 - Not bad given the price.

October 14, 2017 - Deep robe; juicy nose. Lots of cassis and biscuit, touch of cedar. Straight forward, but good depth and purity. Yes, a bit simple (thus the score) but there's nothing wrong with this. I'd drink it again.

July 31, 2017 - 2006 Château Clarke (France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Listrac-Médoc) $36/750 ml after discount, Merlot 70 percent, Cabernet Sauvignon 30 percent, 13 pabv, Glazers's Wholesale Distributors, Dallas, TX. Opened about 3 hours prior to this tasting. 4 mm bricking, copious tearing. Nose is a little searching, with eep plum and leather and spearmint edged with cassis, with some Sauvignon weediness and something like a sweet cherry note. Somewhat monolithic entry with still-firm tannins but with a medium finish showing cherry and vanilla on the finish.

I probably would have guessed this as a right bank wine, as it shows a little more butch but lacks the precision of a fine Medoc, but this may come around as the Merlot sweet fruit reigns back over the next 2-3 years and the more structured Sauvignon element comes to the fore. Will drink well until perhaps now-2025 at least.

December 6, 2015 - Opened and decanted 30-min before dinner of roasted pulled pork, fall vegetables, and garlic bread. Candied nose of red and dark fruit with mild herbs and plenty of oak. The palate is full, square, disjointed, and thin, with a mixture of blackberries and candied cherries. The finish was hot and wobbly, still very tannic and tight. This will likely open up but not sure it will improve much in the coming years. Drink 2017+
