July 7, 2023 - Nose: Fudge, brioche, wet stones, paper.

Palate: Soft entry that is met with a nice high acidity. Mid-palate has lemon and some bread. Towards the end it gets a bit unfriendly and hollow.

December 21, 2020 - Hm this is a difficult one...

The 2005 and 2006 where extremely good and very true to their vintages.
This one got 10 years lees age while the 2006 even got 12 years thats why both got released in the same year.

With the 2008 I fail to immediately recognize any pure clean fruits.
Its a nice yeasty appleish/lemon zesty bouquet but not very precise.
The taste is like a rather more diffuse version of 2005 with a bit more acidity.
At the same time the acidity totally doesnt live up to the expectations for 2008.

In the beginning there is a nice tingling spicy pinot noir attack. I expected that there will be some ultra sharp ice cold sting of acidity but nothing. This is very drinkable.
Dosage is a bit questionable for me here on the one hand side its not obviously too high but somehow it seems like it masks a bit of the fruit. In between some nice bread soup flavours though.

The wine also seems very thick and a bit sluggish its not a vivid fresh energetic wine. Its more of a broad and intense one and not an elegant one.

So you definitely feel the lees age but not so much the 2008.

It will definitely survive for some years in the cellar (maybe 5-6 years) but I doubt it will become something glorious.

Nonetheless a decent wine for a decent price (are there cheaper 2008?).

P.S drank over 2 days and no big changes in the wine.
