April 7, 2024 - Has aged very nicely. More enjoyable now than one year ago. Still some fruit left but more tertiary notes. For a Pinot is quite full bodied with nice structure. Tasted great with moussaka.
March 24, 2024 - Bottle aging has helped a lot. Good structure and balance. Bright fruit, but no longer fruit forward

April 18, 2023 - Subtle nose of cranberry, cherry, and cinnamon. Similar on the palate with hints of orange peel and cocoa. Balanced in the mouth with dusting of tannin. Reminds of South American Pinot. Really well done with all things considered. Lacks varietal expression but this is from a very young vineyard.
April 8, 2023 - Well balanced, moderate cherry fruit.
January 25, 2023 - Decanted one hour. Interesting aromas of dried cherries and chalk. On the palate - dried cherries, but somewhat hollow with one of the most tannic finishes I've experienced from a Pinot. After another hour there was fruit detectable underneath, but some of the harsh tannins remained. I have respect for JD, but if this is the best Washington state Pinot he's ever had - that must be damning with faint praise!

March 20, 2022 - I think oaktownrush's recent review captures this really well, and those that refer to it as not very Pinot-like have a point, too. It is getting better, though. I enjoyed this bottle a lot more than the first one, some 5 months ago.
