February 26, 2023 - Tasted after 1 hour of air. Dark garnet color. Dark berry floral on the nose. A hint of olive tapenade. Dark black fruit with a firm hit of tannins on the palate. Some round berry crunch on the mid palate lift. Some olive on the finish. Quite a bit going on here. A big wine that doesn't come across as too heavy.

January 8, 2023 - Asian spices, tea, red fruits. Very layered wine and paired well with turkey dinner.

September 2, 2022 - Day 1 this was a little disjointed, but by day 2 it was firing on all cylinders. Great Rhone blend, with flavors of blackberry, tobacco, vanilla and mocha. Drink now - 2032.

January 8, 2022 - Decanted 3 hours. Really nice wine, with a lot of upside. Red and black berry fruits, white pepper, pipe tobacco. Nice acidity and very apparent tannins, even after the decant. Drink now with air (or hold another year or two) - 2032+.

January 1, 2022 - This has so many layers! Cassis, flint, leather, lavender. Very high alcohol. Keep it away from your nose with a very large wine glass with a very large mouth on it. It pairs excellently with a slow cooked, marinated ham. Another few years and the very little acerbic note will disappear.
