May 3, 2023 - PNP. Cork leaky to top but wine underneath intact. Color is light gold. Nose w citrus vanilla cream pineapple and herbs. Swishing shows great acidity but it is creamy and polished and balances the RS. Sipping shows a simple palate - finish med length and balanced. In a great spot but will continue to evolve w time. So happy with this

November 28, 2020 - Leaky cork. This one took me totally by surprise. I was expecting more RS based on last experience but it has mostly resolved. This is in a great place and fully mature. Will drink over next year or two

November 1, 2014 - Good bottle, although not quite what I thought it would be. Upon opening, there was not much sugar present, and the tastes were somewhat muted. Interestingly, the next day, it was meaningfully improved. Perhaps I opened it too early.

December 29, 2013 - PNP. Brief note - this was really quite good...plenty of acid structure in support of the very ripe mostly primary fruit and moderate RS. my guess is that this will go for a long time. will wait awhile to try again

November 27, 2013 - PNP. cork was leaking and wet - even under capsule. Color straw. Nose peach slate. Swishing shows bright acid supporting the still bright fruit. Sipping allows fruit to shine thru along w mod RS but the acid keeps it light and lively. Finish medium length and smooth. Thankfully a non-flawed bottle

May 4, 2013 - Not a good sign, the cork was wet under the capsule. Upon slow extraction, the cork was soft and very soggy, another bad sign. As soon as the cork popped free, the room was filled with honey, apples, and petrol, now that was a great sign! The wine is a light golden yellow color. The wine was not sparkling, but there were a lot of bubbles clinging to the inside of the glass. The fresh and lively nose has apples, honey, petrol, orange blossoms, minerals, juicy pears, lemon zest, and a touch of white peach. This has light to medium body, crisp acidity, and a nice sweet richness. Loads of sweet fruit and minerals engulf the palate until the slow building orange and lemon acidity kicks in to balance everything out. The finish is fairly long with the minerals and citrus carrying the load and the fruit providing nice sweetness in the background. This 15 year old Riesling is still very fresh on the nose and palate, this can easily last for another decade in the cellar.

March 16, 2013 - This was a gift from Scubarex. Moldy cork but was solid and came out in one piece. 3rd time I have had this wine and this bottle blew away the other 2. Awesome example of a 15 year old spatlese. Drank this before dinner with bacon jam (which was awesome). Light clear straw color. Floral and crisp apple aromas. Not a hint of petrol. Firm acidity. Tart white fruit with pear notes and a hint of pepper in the finish. 92-93 points
