August 28, 2021 - Dark fruit with Cassis and plums. Ceder, some leather and forest floor/dirt. Fully mature and probably a few years over the hill as the fruit felt quite dried out. Still quite tannic.
July 31, 2021 - Last bottle of an OWC-12 bought in 2016 for 15€/bottle. PnP. Cork in good condition (only a little bit soaked). This has arrived at the end of its drinking window. The fruit has gone. Still typical good old Bordeaux, but the finish is really dry. Good PQR for this (unclassified) DOURTHE-Pessac-Léognon. But clearly inferior to the Cru Bourgeois Pontoise Cabarrus 2005 (Haut-Médoc, neighbor of Sociando-Mallet) we had just behind.
March 18, 2018 - Had it with dry aged Porterhouse Steak. Perfect match, the wine is quite tannic for it's age and this was nicely balanced by the steak. This bottle however was not as good as the ones I already had, it was rather a 88. But the 5 bottles before deserved a 89. Does not benefit from decanting and can be popped and poured. Its for now until next year.
November 21, 2017 - Too much cedar for me and not enough fruit, even for Graves. About the same the 2nd night, so don't think it's in decline Cheap auction buy and good QPR, but probably not going to buy again.
November 19, 2017 - Drinking just a bit past its prime, however shows that even a basic Passac can hold some significant age. No bricking or signs of age, just some nicely extracted fruit and a blast of tobacco/smoke on the finish, which is a bit disjointed at this stage. Great with a red-meat dinner, no complaints.
October 13, 2017 - Was für ein schöner Wein. Herrliche, würzige Nase und ein einnehmendes, herrliches Tanin, auf das eine sehr lange, tiefschwarze Frucht folgt. Geilo!
April 1, 2017 - Upon opening, wine was pretty dry. Not super mouth filling, but coated mouth nicely. A bit restrained in flavor, you have some nice, older, gentle, cherry and red berry flavor, to go along with tannins that perhaps have a hint of olive, like Chianti can have. Also some taste of old oak, and earth that intrigues the tongue for a solidly medium length finish. Maybe a touch more acid than I’d expect-a hint of citrus peel?
Not amazing, but well executed and very enjoyable.
January 21, 2017 - P&P - Lovely surprise here as M&S had this for $23 - even better is that it has none of the forwardness of more resent left bank vintages. Instead, we have a wine of gently red cherry fruit surrounded by aged cedar and a dabble of graves earth. Not long or complex but really satisfies. Still some pretty good tannic punch on the finish, but I wouldn't hold further and just accept them as part of the package.

July 29, 2016 - 10 years later, this 2006 was really nice. Opened 45mn before drinking, the taste was marvelous.
