Community Tasting Notes 8

September 10, 2020 - Fully developed, round, plummy, earthy, dark cherry-filled, soft-textured wine with good freshness and fruit in the finish that is ready for its prime time consumption. The finish is a bit strict, which stops my score from going higher.

April 25, 2020 - Really enjoyed this bottle of wine. Opened three hours before dinner (last two decanted). This wine worked a treat with food. Mature and subtle, not too long on the palate.

December 25, 2019 - Still on the upslope I reckon, but drinking well with food.

August 8, 2011 - A bit muted on the first day but really opened up overnight. A joyful fruity nose of blackcurrants, smoothed over by a touch of lavender and thyme. Nice and mouthfilling, with dominant blackberry flavors, along with a touch of Provencal herbs and tobacco. Surprisingly long finish. Good balance between acidity, tannins and fruit. My only bottle, bought at the winery itself; wish I had more. Could probably last another 3-5 years but can't say if it would get better. Would pair with steak or lamb.
